Filling Big Shoes

As many of you know I have accepted the position of Office Team Leader for BHGRE Metro Brokers here in Hiram, Ga. The opportunity presented itself when our former Office Team Leader Feder Joseph ventured out on his own and started his own Real Estate company, Fed-Man Real Estate. I hated to see Feder leave, but I know he will do a bang up job.

If you have never met Feder you should make it a point to do so. He is really a great guy, husband and father to his children. Feder or as some of us called him Feder Joe was our office team leader for 3 years. In those three years he did an outstanding job. His meetings were not only fun, but they were informative and the information was timely and useful.  He made it a point to bring continuing education classes out to us so we did'nt always have to drive up to our corporate office to get those classes.  He would bring builders (yes there are some builders still out there) to tell about what they were doing and what kind of deals they were offering to the public. He brought in folks from RPAC to keep us informed on what was going on the local, state and federal level in regards to real estate. As a side note if you are a Realtor and are not involved with RPAC you need to get involved. This is your lively hood and there are way to many issues out there that can affect your career in a negative way.

As you can see those are some really big shoes to fill. When the idea of taking over for Feder was first presented to me, one of my first thoughts was can I measure up to him. Wrong question to ask. Its not about that at all. I am a big believer in finding out what someone does very well and duplicating it. So with that being said it makes sense to keep everything that Feder has done, and then try new and different things and make a mark that way.
