My First Post

Welcome to my very first blog. I was asking myself what should I write about and I thought that maybe I should tell you something about myself and how I got into real estate.

I got into real estate because when me and my wife Ann bought our home our experience with our realtor was less than satisfying. As soon as we had a binding agreement and she know she was getting her commission she was nowhere to be found. In fact the next and last time we saw her was at the closing table. Clearly there had to be a better way.

That led me to enroll in the GAMLS pre-license study course. It took 10-12 weeks to complete and then I sat for the State of Georgia exam. I was well prepared for it and passed it easily. Once that was done I placed my license with Metro Brokers. It was a pretty easy choice as Metro was the only brokerage that actually returned my phone call in a timely manner (Like The Same Day). I did call Remax, Century 21 and Prudential. It took Remax and C21 almost a week to get back with me and I never have heard from Prudential. Oh well so much for follow up.

I really do love everything there is about real estate. You have so many more good days as opposed to bad days and even the bad days are not that bad. I have been blessed to have been surrounded by many good people who have taken the time to show me what this business is really all about. Its truly about the wants, needs and desires of the client.

My goal is to help each person find a place that they can call home and I want them to love that place. When my clients are done working I want them excited when they go home.
